Macau Student Affairs Association Visited USJ on 22 July 2020
A total of 30 members from the Macau Student Affairs Association (MSAA) visited University of Saint Joseph (USJ) on 22 July 2020. The delegation was received by Prof. Álvaro Barbosa, Vice-Rector; Ms Teresa Loong, Director of Office for Student Affairs (OSAA) cum MSAA Chairperson, and her colleagues. Member institutions of MSAA include University of Macau, Macao Polytechnic Institute, Macao Institute for Tourism Studies, Macau University of Science and Technology, City University of Macau, Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau, and University of Saint Joseph.
During the visit, the representatives from the seven institutions shared their experiences on student services, particularly the special support provided to students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The delegation was then shown around the USJ campus. The MSAA executive meeting was also held in USJ in the afternoon. The event was well-received by the participants, and they all agreed that regular sharing and exchange of experiences between member institutions could help them understand the education vision and campus culture of each institution, which will promote the overall student support and services.
The delegation of MSAA was led by Mr Paul Pang, President and Mr Antonio Chu Vice-President of the General Assembly, Mr Elvo Sou, Ms Shirley Tam, Mr Lewis Chao, Ms Alice Lao, Vice-Chairpersons and Ms Grace Chao, Vice President of the Supervisory Committee.
