Mr. Ran Bo and his delegation from the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Macao visited USJ on 23rd October.
On October 23rd, 2019, a delegation from the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Macao was invited to have lunch with staff and student representatives of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ). The delegation was led by Mr. Ran Bo, Coordinator of the Policy Research Office and Counsellor of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
Lunch was held at the Rector’s apartment at the Ilha Verde Campus’ Residential Hall. The USJ Rector, Prof. Peter Stilwell, Vice-Rectors Prof. Keith Morrison, Prof. Álvaro Barbosa and Prof. Rochelle Ge, as well as the Dean of School of Business and Law, Prof. Jenny Lao, and the Coordinator of the Department of Social Work of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Tang Ning, introduced USJ’s community projects in Macao and the University’s collaboration with various academic and educational institutions in the Mainland and abroad. Ms. Lydia Tong, from the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs, and student representative, Ms. Kianat, shared their views of the University’s rich campus life.
Mr. Ran expressed his appreciation for the international learning environment of the University and hopes that USJ will continue to develop its role of in the nurturing of talents, while promoting social responsibility and academic exchange within the region and beyond.
