On December 13th, 2019, USJ’s PIRO Team held the “Hau Wui Yau Kei” (“See You Soon”) Farewell Gathering for the Fall Semester 2019/2020 International Exchange Students.
On December 13th, 2019, the Public and International Relations Office (PIRO) Team of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) held the “Hau Wui Yau Kei” (“See You Soon”) Farewell Gathering for the Fall Semester 2019/2020 International Exchange Students.
Students from Portugal, Brazil, Indonesia, France and Italy came together to celebrate and share experiences during their time at USJ, Macao, Mainland China and Asia in general, while savouring traditional Macanese dishes like Apa Bico, Capella, Minchi, and Bolo Menino.
As part of the office’s Macao Inside Out initiatives throughout the academic year, students were encouraged to take part in two PIRO challenges that would allow them to further explore Macao: “50 Things To Do Before Leaving Macao” Checklist Challenge and Macao Landmark Instagram Challenge. The winners of these challenges, respectively, Mr. Benjamin Connan from Université Catholique de Lille (France) and Mr. Francisco Almeida from Católica Lisbon (Portugal), were announced at the event and each received a symbolic prize from PIRO Director Mrs. Ana Paula Mota.
Ms Lydia Tong, from the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA), as one of the parties most involved in supporting the students during their stay at USJ, joined the gathering and expressed, on behalf of OSAA, some final words to the group.
The event was kindly sponsored by the Macao Foundation.
