Prof. Carrie Ho delivered Keynote Speech at the International Conference on Aesthetics and Virtue in Early Childhood Education in Taiwan.
Prof. Carrie Ho (SED) was invited as a Keynote Speaker at the International Conference on Aesthetics and Virtue in Early Childhood Education at the National Pingtung University, Taiwan, from 26 to 27 October.
Together with other scholars, Prof. Carrie Ho presented a keynote speech on the topic of “Searching for an Aesthetic Pathway: Creating an Intangible Aesthetic Environment”. In addition, she led an aesthetic teaching workshop titled “Mythagogia”. The theme of the conference was “Aesthetics, Virtue, Better Life: Practice of Early Childhood Education and Care”. More than 200 experts and scholars at home and abroad gathered together to share the latest development of aesthetic education and well-being research, and exchanged the results of academic achievement. After the conference, new research collaboration is established on using Theatre-in-Education (TIE) for STEAM (arts-based STEM), related teaching and learning will be conducted in early 2020.
