Prof. José Manuel Simões, Programme Coordinator for the Master of Communication and Media at USJ, participated in the 2024 “Training Seminar on the National Conditions of AIPIM (Macau Portuguese and English Media Association)” in Fudan University, Shanghai.
Prof. José Manuel Simões, Programme Coordinator for the Master of Communication and Media at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), participated in the 2024 “Training Seminar on the National Conditions of AIPIM (Macau Portuguese and English Media Association)” in Fudan University, Shanghai, from September 9 to 13.
The training seminar organised by the Macao Foundation and Fudan University’s School of Journalism aims to enhance media professional’s understanding of China’s economic and diplomatic landscape. Prof. Simões joined a panel of selected trainees, including editors and journalists from the various English and Portuguese media outlets in Macao.
The programme featured thematic teaching by experts at Fudan University, covering critical topics such as China’s economic policies, diplomatic strategies, and the development of new media and global communications in Mainland China.
During the training programme, Prof. Simões also contributed his insights into media dynamics and challenges of news dissemination in the digital age.
