Over 60 experts and scholars from the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao regions gathered to discuss the opportunities and challenges of advancing the curriculum system for basic education in the era of digital intelligence.



The first “Research on the Construction of High-Quality Basic Education Textbook System in the Digital Intelligence Era” seminar, jointly organised by Mainland China and the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions, recently concluded with success.

Over 60 experts and scholars from the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao regions gathered to discuss the opportunities and challenges of advancing the curriculum system for basic education in the era of digital intelligence. Prof. Rochelle Ge, Dean of the School of Education of USJ, was invited to attend and presented on behalf of SED.

The presentation, prepared collaboratively by Prof. Rochelle Ge and Dr. Chan Teng Fong, Director of the Diocesan Catholic Education Committee, was titled “The Practice of School-Based Curriculum in Macao: Curriculum Design and Textbook Selection in Catholic Schools.” The report provided an in-depth analysis of curriculum development models and textbook selection strategies in Catholic schools in Macao. The presentation received high praise from the attending experts and scholars, contributing valuable insights for advancing cooperation in the field of education between Macao, Mainland China, and the Hong Kong and Taiwan regions.
