Professor Álvaro Barbosa is one of the featured artists at the first non-fungible token (NFT) art exhibition “Dream Space: New Wave in the Metaverse NFT Art Exhibition” hosted by the Metaverse Industry Association Macau.
Professor Álvaro Barbosa, Full-Professor of Communication and Media at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), is one of the featured artists at the first non-fungible token (NFT) art exhibition, “Dream Space: New Wave in the Metaverse NFT Art Exhibition” hosted by the Metaverse Industry Association Macau at H853 Fun Factory at the Lisboeta Macau throughout May.
Professor Barbosa’s artworks from the series of 12 NFTs “Floating Taikonaut,”, are among the 37 exhibited artworks from 6 Chinese and International artists, namely Alvaro Barbosa himself, CryptoPunks, Andreas Ivan, David Yuan, Ting Song, and one piece from the renowned Bored Ape Yacht Club.
The “Floating Taikonauts” is a mix of visual arts and digital music production. Each piece features a Chinese Astronaut (Taikonaut) floating over an iconic city in China with background music and visual effects applied to original photographs. By getting the full 12 NFTs and piecing them together, NFT collectors will then own an original copy of the full song.
