Roundtable Meeting on Policy on Sexual Harassment Held in Chinese University of HK
On 11th October, Prof. Vincent C. Yang, Vice Rector, and representatives of other higher education institutions in Macau attended a roundtable meeting hosted by the Gender Research Centre of Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The Tertiary Education Services Office of the MSAR organised this activity. The workshop was to discuss the best practices of CUHK in raising awareness of its anti-harassment policy among staff and students, and research projects and educational programs on gender education and gender studies. Prof. Yang introduced USJ’s Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination Policy and enquired about the procedures of handling harassment complaints in CUHK. The host and the guests agreed that this is an important area of work to assure a safe and pleasant learning environment in a university. At the end of the workshop, Prof. Yang presented gifts to the speakers on behalf of the Macau delegation.
