Professors of USJ were invited to participate in the Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Summit organised by UNU Macau in celebration of the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day.



Professors of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) participated in the Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Summit organised by the United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU Macau) on May 17 2021 in celebration of the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day.

Five panels were organised to discuss around the five P’s of the SDG’s: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership.

Prof. Zhang Shuguang, Vice Rector of USJ, was invited to moderate the first panel discussion on the topic of People, related to SDG goals 1 to 6. Prof. Karen Tagulao from the USJ Institute of Science and Environment (ISE) participated in the second panel discussion on Planet (SDGs 11 to 15). Prof. Ansoumane Douty Diakite, Head of Department of Law and Public Policy of the Faculty of Business and Law of USJ, participated in panel four on the topic of the 16th SDG: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. Lastly, Prof. Jenny Phillips, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law of USJ, participated as Moderator for the last panel on Partnerships for the Goals.
