The University of Saint Joseph and Tai Chuang Yuan Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing collaboration in technology, education, and health sectors.



The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) and Tai Chuang Yuan Group (TCY) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at enhancing collaboration in technology, education, and health sectors. The signing ceremony took place on 10 April 2025, at the USJ Ilha Verde Campus, marking an important step towards strengthening ties between academia and industry.

The agreement will focus on three main areas: collaborating on cervical spine research and establishing a university research center with the USJ Laboratory of Applied Neuroscience, offering executive programmes and internships for Chinese government officials and corporate leaders, and creating a center for cervical spine care and neuroscience research to promote wellness initiatives.

Dr. Li Ling, Chairwoman of TCY Group, stated: “Since its founding in 1986, TCY has been committed to regional economic growth and multilateral cooperation. Partnering with USJ allows us to combine industry expertise with academic excellence, driving innovation in Macau and the Asia-Pacific region.”

Professor Alexandre Lobo, Vice-Rector of Research and Innovation at USJ, emphasised: “This collaboration bridges academia and industry while offering students international exposure. Through joint research and talent development, we aim to create lasting societal impact.”
