USJ and the Catholic University of Croatia discussed academic cooperation opportunities in the fields of history and cultural heritage, social work, and applied psychology.
On the afternoon of September 28, 2023, Vice-Rector Professor Zhang Shuguang, on behalf of the University of Saint Joseph, Macao (USJ) visited the Catholic University of Croatia (CUC) in Zagreb, Croatia, a member institution of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU/FIUC).
During the visit, Vice-Rector Zhang was warmly received by the Rector of CUC, Reverend Professor Željko Tanjić, the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation of CUC, Professor Hrvoje Štefanči, and the Head of the Rector’s Office of CUC, Ms Ana Murphy.
A meeting was also held to discuss and explore opportunities for academic exchange and cooperation for collaboration between the universities.
Vice-Rector Zhang also introduced USJ as a private, autonomous, non-profit institution of higher education that upholds the highest academic standards and it is rooted in its Catholic roots with a long tradition of intercultural exchange in Macao.
Both parties have mutually agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation to initiate the process of establishing joint academic programmes in the areas of history and cultural heritage, social work, and applied psychology. The Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed in the IFCU/FIUC Board meeting held in Macao this week.
