USJ elected to Vice-Presidency of the National Integration Community of IT Application Innovative Industry and Education

The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) in Macao has been elected to the vice-presidency at the founding ceremony of the National Integration Community of IT Application Innovative Industry and Education held in Qingdao on October 12.
The founding ceremony of the “National Integration Community of IT Application Innovative Industry and Education”, sponsored by the China Association of Higher Education, China Association of Vocational and Technical Education, China Electronics and Beijing Institute of Technology, was held in Qingdao on October 12.
With the main theme of “Integrating Higher Education and Vocational Education, Integrating Production and Education, Integrating Science and Education”, the Community jointly carries out personnel training, cooperates in technical research, combines production and education resources, promotes production through teaching, research and production, integration of production and education, and cooperation between production and education, and jointly promotes the formation of a new development pattern of modern industrial education that meets the market demand and fits the industrial structure.
As an “attraction platform” for cross-border innovation elements, the first members of the Community include more than 400 national undergraduate universities, vocational colleges, scientific research institutions, and upstream and downstream enterprises and institutions.
As one of the founding organisations of the Community, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) in Macao has been elected to the vice-presidency of the National Integration Community of IT Application Innovative Industry and Education (see Fig. Certification).

The conference also included an academic seminar on the integration of industry and education in the innovation industry of information technology applications. Professor George Du Wencai, Dean of the Institute of Data Engineering and Science at USJ, was invited to attend.

USJ will utilize the platform of the integrated industry and education community to push forward together with its partners to build a model of integrated industry and education in Macao and throughout the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GHKM-GBA). It will do this through mechanism co-construction, resource sharing, technology research and performance promotion. This will enable greater contributions to the training of high-end technical talents in the field of information technology application and innovation, serving the economic and social development and national strategy of Macao and the GHKM-GBA.
