USJ explores collaboration with Zhuhai Court of International Arbitration (Hengqin International Arbitration Center)

Members of the USJ.Faculty of Business and Law visited the Zhuhai Court of International Arbitration (ZCIA) in Hengqin Guangdong Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone on 28 November 2023.
A University of Saint Joseph’s (USJ) Delegation led by Prof. Jenny Phillips, Dean of Faculty of Business and Law, visited the Zhuhai Court of International Arbitration (ZCIA) in Hengqin Guangdong Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone on 28 November 2023.
The delegation was warmly received by President Wang Ruisen and Vice President Xu Zhiming from the Zhuhai Court of International Arbitration and Manager of the Department of International Affairs and legal Representative of Hengqin International Commercial Mediation Center, Wu Tianyu and Secretary General of Hengqin International Commercial Mediation Center, Zhuo Jing.
To enhance cooperation in legal matters and provide support for arbitration services for entities from the Guangdong Hong Kong Macau Greater Bay Area and Portuguese-Speaking Countries, USJ explored the possibility of jointly providing training in the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), conducting research and other academic services in conjunction with ZCIA.
During the discussion, the two parties explored the opportunity to jointly deliver a postgraduate certificate in dispute resolution, provide internship opportunities and qualification for USJ’s students to engage in the arbitration and mediation work in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
