It was another busy but meaningful weekend dedicated to protecting our oceans!
This month, the Coastal Cleanup event, organised in proud partnership with Sands Eco360 and Macao Green Future, achieved remarkable success. The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) extend our heartfelt appreciation to Sands Eco360, Macao Green Future, and the USJ Mangroves Team for their collaborative efforts in making a positive impact on our environment.
Together, we successfully collected approximately 52 kilograms of waste from the coastline, preventing potential harm to marine life and mitigating environmental pollution. Every effort counts, and this achievement portraits the power of community action in tackling environmental challenges.
Additionally, we are pleased to announce ongoing developments for SWEEP Macao, our AI-powered application designed to identify types of waste and promote more efficient waste management practices. First introduced last year, SWEEP is an innovative resource that harnesses artificial intelligence to assist individuals and organisations in reducing waste more effectively.
