USJ Participated in Joint Conference for Universities in Jiangsu, Macau and Portuguese Speaking Countries and Signed MOUs with YZU and JSU from 20th to 25th October 2016.
On October 20-25, 2016, at the invitation of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Prof. Vincent Cheng Yang, Pro-Rector, and Prof. Jose Alves, Dean of Faculty of Administration and Leadership, joined a delegation of representatives from universities in Macau and Portuguese Speaking Countries in an official visit to Jiangsu Province, China. The delegation visited Nantong University, Jiangsu University (JSU), Nanjing Forestry University and Yang Zhou University (YZU) to explore possibilities of cooperation. On Oct. 25, on behalf of USJ, Prof. Yang and Prof. Alves attended the 3rd Joint Conference for University Cooperation of Jiangsu, Macau and Portuguese Speaking Countries. During the event, a ceremony was held for the voluntary signing of cooperation MOUs amongst the universities. USJ signed two MOUs with JSU and YZU to promote student and faculty exchanges, joint research and other activities for the sharing of expertise. It is expected that the universities will start developing action plans for the launch of cooperation projects in 2017-2018, when funding support is made available by the relevant government departments and universities.
