On the 16th of September 2022, the Sands China Limited’s Fellowship Cheque Presentation Ceremony was held at the Sands China Office.
On the 16th of September 2022, a delegation from the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) led by Professor Keith Morrison, Vice-Rector for Research at USJ, Dr. Alejandro Salcedo Garcia, Administrator, and Ms. Teresa Loong, Director of the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA), attended the Sands China Limited’s Fellowship Cheque Presentation Ceremony at the Sands China Office.
The USJ delegation was honoured to be welcomed and graciously received by the Senior Management team of Sands China Ltd., including Dr. Wilfred Wong, President of Sands China Ltd., Ms. Wen Hongyan, Senior Vice-President of Human Resources, Mr. Sam Chong Nin, Vice-President of Corporate Communications and Community Affairs, Mr. Lourence Ho, Director of HR – Training & Development, and Ms. Annie Lam, Director of Community Affairs.
Recognising the long-term support given by Sands China Ltd. for the USJ Community Scholarship and Fellowship Programme, Professor Morrison expressed his gratitude for the dedication of Sands China Ltd. to this project and to the Adelson Family Foundation in supporting USJ, particularly at the time of the severe damage to the campus caused by Typhoon Hato. Dr. Wilfred Wong was eager to learn about the recent developments at USJ, and he reaffirmed the importance of supporting USJ with its international identity which cultivated a diversity of cultures in higher education in Macau. Both Sands China Ltd. and USJ are working hand in hand for the betterment of Macao as an international territory and sharing the same vision of promoting cross-cultural experiences among Macao‘s younger population.
After the meeting, Dr. Wilfred Wong continued his annual tradition of supporting higher education in Macao and presented the cheque from Sands China Ltd. to the delegation.
