USJ signed a Direct Progression Agreements with CDSJ6, CDSJ5 and Saint Paul School, offering two full scholarships and two half scholarships for graduates of the three diocesan schools to progress to USJ for undergraduate studies.
On the 3rd of November 2020, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) signed a Direct Progression Agreements with the three Diocesan schools: Saint Joseph Secondary School 6 (CDSJ6), Saint Joseph Secondary School 5 (CDSJ5), and Saint Paul School. The Agreements include an offer of two full scholarships and two half scholarships for each of the three diocesan schools, donated by Mr. Lucas Lo, for graduates to progress to USJ for undergraduate studies.
The Direct Progression Agreements were signed at USJ between the Rector of USJ, Reverend Professor Stephen Morgan, and the three Diocesan Secondary School Principals: Principal of CDSJ6, Dr. Samuel Kio; Principal of CDSJ5, Jammy Wong, and Principal of Saint Paul School, Fr. Athanasius Chan. This year, recommended graduates for the Direct Progression will receive full or half scholarships from the “Lucas Lo Scholarships for University of Saint Joseph”.
USJ signed an agreement with Mr. Lucas Lo in July for the support of six full scholarships and six half scholarships for four years of undergraduate studies. In order to support secondary school graduates that have been nurtured from Catholic education to continue their studies in a Catholic environment, USJ developed the Direct Progression Agreements with the three Diocesan Secondary Schools which allow graduates recommended by the school Principals to directly progress to USJ.
Form 6 students from the three Diocesan Secondary Schools can apply by the end of December via their schools, and the respective Principals shall select candidates of merit both from academic achievement and their services to the schools, community, and the Catholic Church for recommendation to USJ.
