Vice-Rector Alexandre Lobo appointed Chief Academic Advisor of the National Research Base of Intelligent Manufacturing Services at Chongqing Technology and Business University (CTBU).
Professor Alexandre Lobo, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) in Macao, visited Chongqing Technology and Business University (CTBU) during the second week of November 2024, to discuss research collaborations and exchange opportunities for students and staff.
During his visit, Professor Lobo met with Professor Huafeng Qin, head of the National Research Base of Intelligent Manufacturing Services at CTBU. Both recently co-founded the COBERTA—”Consortium of BRICS E-health Research Taskforces Association” — a collaborative research network that includes members from Brazil, Portugal, India, China (Chongqing and Macao), and South Africa.
As a result of this visit, Professor Lobo was appointed Chief Academic Advisor of the National Research Base of Intelligent Manufacturing Services. This appointment signifies an essential step for concrete collaboration and research integration between USJ and CTBU, leveraging the expertise of both institutions.
Both universities look forward to advancing research and education in the fields of intelligent manufacturing and e-health, ultimately contributing to the development of solutions that address contemporary global challenges.
