USJ Vice-Rector Zhang Shuguang, visited the University of Évora, the Catholic University of Portugal, and the University of Minho, in Portugal, where he held extensive and in-depth discussions on research cooperation, exchange and partnership opportunities.
From the 23rd to 28th of May, 2024, Prof. Zhang Shuguang, Vice-Rector of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao, visited the University of Évora (UEvora), the Catholic University of Portugal (UCP), and the University of Minho (UMinho) in Portugal. Mr. Francisco Peixoto, Head of Delegation of USJ Macao in Portugal, accompanied Vice-Rector Zhang during his visit to the three universities.
During those visits, he held extensive and in-depth discussions on scientific and technological research and development, incubation cooperation, and in-depth academic exchanges, and reached a basic consensus on establishing a long-term cooperative partnership.
Over the course of the visit, Prof. Zhang Shuguang met with several leaders of the institutes including Prof. Paulo Quaresma, Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation and International Affairs of UEvora, Prof. Isabel Gil, Rector of the UCP, Prof. Isabel Braga da Cruz, Pro-Rector of UCP, Prof. Paula Castro, Dean of the School of Biotechnology of UCP, and Prof. Maria Manuela Estevez Pintado, Vice-Dean of the School of Biotechnology of UCP, Dr. António M. Cunha, President of the The North Portugal Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR-N), as well as Prof. Rui Vieira de Castro, Rector of UMinho, Prof. Eugénio Campos Ferreira, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of UMinho, and four research institute directors.

Visita do Vice-Reitor Zhang Shuguang a Portugal em Maio de 2024
No mês de Maio de 2024, o Vice-Reitor da Universidade de São José (USJ), Professor Zhang Shuguang, visitou a Universidade de Évora (UEvora), a Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) e a Universidade do Minho (UMinho), em Portugal, onde realizou encontros e reuniões sobre oportunidades de cooperação nas áreas de investigação e desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico, cooperação em incubação e intercâmbios académicos, tendo chegado a um consenso básico sobre o estabelecimento de uma parceria de cooperação a longo prazo. Francisco Peixoto, Chefe da Delegação da USJ Macau em Portugal, acompanhou o Vice-Reitor Zhang durante a sua visita às três universidades.
Durante a sua visita, o Vice-Reitor Zhang reuniu-se com vários líderes das instituições, incluindo o Prof. Paulo Quaresma, Vice-Reitor para a Investigação, Inovação e Internacionalizaçãa da UEvora, a Prof.ª Isabel Gil, Reitora da UCP, a Prof.ª Isabel Braga da Cruz, Pró-Reitora da UCP, a Prof.ª Paula Castro, Directora da Escola Superior de Biotecnologia da UCP, e a Prof. Maria Manuela Estevez Pintado, Vice-Directora da Escola Superior de Biotecnologia da UCP, o Dr. António M. Cunha, Presidente da Comissão de Coordenação e Desenvolvimento Regional do Norte (CCDR-N), bem como o Prof. Rui Vieira de Castro, Reitor da UMinho, o Prof. Eugénio Campos Ferreira, Vice-Reitor para a Investigação e Inovação da UMinho, e quatro directores de institutos de investigação.
