Both parties explored a range of educational practices during the visit.
On 7th April, a delegation from the University of Saint Joseph, led by Rector Professor Stephen Morgan, and members of the Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Education, and Office for Student and Alumni Affairs, visited the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau. Chairman Mr Leung Chun Kit, Director of the Central District Office Mr Chan Ming Ki, and Co-ordinator of the Social Service Office, Mr Chow Yuen Yan, warmly received the delegation.
Both parties explored a range of educational practices during the meeting, which included, apart from the English Reading Programme, teaching practice support, career development workshops, and upgrading of teacher qualifications in elderly education. In order to expand co-operation in areas such as youth affairs, discussions were also held on the joint organisation of a sharing session on career planning and entrepreneurship, and the promotion of internship exchanges between students in the Greater Bay Area with a view to enhancing the practical skills of students, and strengthening the development of and research on community services of both parties. In respect of improving the standard of elderly services, promote the sharing of education resources through various co-operation initiatives, with a view to promoting the integration and development of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in the Greater Bay Area, thereby laying a solid foundation for future exchanges.
