The Faculty of Business and Law of USJ and Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to formalise a partnership that provides Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students with internship opportunities.
On the 12th of December, 2024, the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) and Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the bank’s headquarters to formalise a partnership that provides Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students with internship opportunities. This collaboration is set to enhance student professional growth but also offers staff training and development to contribute to Macao’s community’s growth.
The signing ceremony marked a significant milestone in fostering academic-industry cooperation. Representing FBL, Prof. Jenny Phillips, Dean of the Faculty, signed the agreement, while Carlos Cid Álvares, Chief Executive Officer, signed on behalf of BNU.
“This partnership underscores our commitment to preparing students for real-world challenges and helps them develop into future business leaders,” said Prof. Phillips during the ceremony.
The BBA programme coordinator, Prof. Alessandro Lampo, also remarked: “This collaboration strengthens our mission to nurture talent and contribute to Macao’s economic growth.”
Carlos Cid Alvares echoed this sentiment: ” We are proud to support the mission of educating future leaders. At BNU, we are committed to developing young talent and shaping the future of Macao.”
