課程簡介及背景:

The Diploma in Sustainable Tourism Practices is designed to introduce the opportunities and challenges faced by the tourism industry in developing sustainable practices and to offer feasible explanations and strategic solutions. It consists of six seminars to be delivered online and onsite concurrently. During the seminars, experts of various aspects of the tourism industry, ranging from marketing and air transportation, to law and economics, and to cultural and culinary heritage, will use practical case studies and share their first-hand professional experiences. The coverage of the latest development in the above areas provides a comprehensive and niche set of knowledge in sustainable tourism. This diploma program is suitable for practitioners of the tourism industry, aspiring to-be professionals as well as those who are interested in new sustainability trends of the industry. Upon completing the six seminars, the participant is required to submit a reflection report (2,000 – 2,500 words) for the award of the diploma.

重要事項:

  • A diploma for this training programme will be issued for participants fulfilling a required attendance rate of 100%.
  • A digital diploma for this training programme will be issued to non-local participants who met the required attendance rate. In the event that needed to receive a physical diploma, such requests shall be addressed to the Executive Training and Lifelong Learning Office for further postal service steps, all mailing/shipping fee will be borne by the participants. Any relevant fees charged by the courier company and risks (if any) made during the postal have to be solely responsible by the participant.
  • A printed traditional diploma will be issued to local participants who met the required attendance rate.
  • Please note that the D.S.E.D.J. 2023-2026 Continuing Education Development Subsidy Scheme and the ETLLO Discount Scheme are NOT available for applying for this course.

A three-step flow of “Registration, Notification, Enrolment” applies.

Participants who wish to apply for this course shall click and read the following steps for more details on registration and application processes.

Step 1: Registration  — Register Online (available period: from today until 21 March 2025)  

 

Registrants shall complete the registration through the “Online Registration Form” during the application period. A confirmation email will be sent to you when your registration information has been successfully received by the Executive Training and Lifelong Learning Office of the University of Saint Joseph.

 

Step 2: Notification

 

Individual registrants will be notified by E-mail about further arrangements (including Programme Enrolment / Payment Settlement /Commencement / Cancellation / Postponement, etc.). Registrants shall follow the provided guidance in order to complete the enrolment and payment procedures.

Remark: Registration will be considered invalid if the enrolment is not performed during the required period; Registrants from the backup list will be notified by E-mail sequentially.

 

Step 3: Enrolment

 

All the enrolment guidelines will be provided via E-mail, notified registrants must follow the listed instructions and deadline to complete the course enrolment procedures.

Any additional information or copy of supporting documents required by this programme will be requested individually through E-mail. Executive Training and Lifelong Learning Office reserves the right to verify the original documents if necessary. The enrolment procedure will be processed on the next working day upon receiving the completed payment settlement and copy of supporting documents (if any).

Upon successful enrolment and complete its required procedures, applicants will receive a reply via E-mail from the Executive Training and Lifelong Learning Office.

Remark:

  • If the number of applicants exceeds the upper limit, admitted applicants who don’t complete the enrollment process by the deadline will be deemed to have given up automatically. Registrants from the backup list will be notified by E-mail sequentially.
  • The D.S.E.D.J. 2023-2026 Continuing Education Development Subsidy Scheme and the LLO Discount Scheme are NOT available for applying for this course.
  • Applicants should aware of the fluctuation of foreign currency exchange rates may have differences occasionally, and therefore, all related bank charges are to be borne by the applicants (if any). The excess amounts of the bank draft are also non-refundable.
  • Programme might be cancelled due to insufficient enrolment.

About Withdrawal:

  • Registrants of Programmes confirmed to commence can request for withdrawal before any payment is made, recovery of the application fee will not be requested.
  • The paid course tuition fees or other relevant course fees are non-refundable, except for the cases of unsuccessful applications or course cancellation or rescheduling announced by our University.
  • The paid course tuition and other relevant course fees are also not transferable, and requests for programme swapping will not be entertained.
