Short Bio

Archbishop Emeritus Dr Paul Kwong

Archbishop Emeritus Paul Kwong is the principal of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Ming Hua Theological College. He did his PhD at Birmingham University which has been published in a book entitled, ‘Identity in Community: A Relevant Theological Agenda for Hong Kong SAR’. Before his appointment as principal, he served as the Archbishop and Primate of the Province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui for 14 years. During his term, he was a member of the 12th and 13th National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the Chinese Committee on Religion and Peace. Currently, he is an active member of the University Council of Lingnan University in Hong Kong. Together with his academic work, he brings a wealth of experience in contemporary church and society, particularly in East Asian contexts. He welcomes research students who are interested in Anglicanism, Asian Christianities and Church History.
