On December 6th and 7th, 2019, USJ’s FSS received a visit by a delegation from the Felizberta Lo Padilla Tong School of Social Sciences of the Hong Kong Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE).
On December 6th and 7th, 2019, the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) of the University of Saint Joseph received a visit by a delegation from the Felizberta Lo Padilla Tong School of Social Sciences of the Hong Kong Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE).
The visit had the main goal of creating the foundations for true collaboration between the two academic units. Aspects such as joint research, exchange of staff and students and partnerships for publication have been discussed. As the Dean of the CIGH, Prof. Tsui Ming-sum, highlighted, this was essentially a beginning of a friendship and fraternity – when we are friends and/or act as brothers and sisters, things happen naturally.
The wonderful dinner, at the Rector’s residence in the Residential Hall of the Ilha Verde Campus, was an excellent example of the close relationship both units are already building, which, certainly, will bring good outcomes in the future.
