In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the “Belt and Road Initiative” (BRI), the public lecture of “The Position and Role of the Belt and Road Initiative in China’s Economic and Social Development Policies” was delivered by the professor of Tsinghua university, Han Dongxue, on 29 November.
In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the “Belt and Road Initiative” (BRI), the public lecture of “The Position and Role of the Belt and Road Initiative in China’s Economic and Social Development Policies” was delivered by the professor of Tsinghua university, Han Dongxue, on 29 November 2023 at the Library Conference Room of USJ Ilha Verde Campus . The public lecture attracted more than 30 young students, alumni and guests to attend. The lecture was organised by the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), and supported by the Bank of China (Macau Branch) Youth Association, University of Saint Joseph Alumni Association.
According to the presentation, Prof. Han gave an overview of the background of the belt and road initiative (BRI) as an important development proposed by China, and shared his views on some of China’s economics and social development policies. Moreover, he hoped that by means of the lecture, the participants could know more about the blueprint and the social phenomenon of our country.
The following guests were present at the lecture: Mr. Chan Yuk Wai, Head of the Department of Students of the Education and Youth Department Bureau (DSEDJ); Dr. Teresa Loong, Vice Rector of USJ, and the members of the alumni association of USJ.
