The University of Saint Joseph is part of the Alliance for Technological Innovation and Talent Development in Western Greater Bay Area
On 19 August 2019, an Alliance for Technological Innovation and Talent Development in Western Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA; henceforth referred to as Alliance) was inaugurated at the University of Macau. After the official inauguration, where Dr. Raymond Lam, the Administrator of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), represented the University, the first Alliance Forum on Collaboration in Technology and Education was held.
The Alliance was established by the University of Macau, the Wuyi University, and the Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College. Currently, it counts with the membership of 17 universities of the GBA.
The establishment of the Alliance aims to enhance the cooperation among the GBA in order to promote technology innovation and talent development. During his speech, Dr. Alexis Tam, the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of Macao, stressed the great involvement of the Macao SAR Government in the creation of a larger platform for cooperation among higher education institutions in the GBA.
