This production is the first in Asia to incorporate the OTTOsonics immersive sound system, a groundbreaking technology developed in partnership with the University of Arts Linz (Austria) and the University of Saint Joseph (Macao).
Professor George Du, Dean of the Institute for Data Engineering and Science at USJ, gave an academic lecture on the “Challenges and Solutions of Key Technologies of Smart healthcare System based on Internet of Things” at the School of Computer Science of Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University.
The visit, part of the module LPY421 – Assessment of Special Educational Needs, was guided by Prof. Vitor Teixeira and provided a unique blend of learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange.

The conference aimed to address and propose solutions for critical issues that are faced in Europe and Latin America, including disorganised migration, youth demotivation, cultural barriers, and a decline in innovation.
The Rector of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ Macao), Rev’d Prof. Stephen Morgan, was elected First Vice-President of the Association of Universities of Asia and The Pacific (AUAP) at the 17th AUAP General Conference 2024, for a term of two years from the 1st of January, 2025, to the 31st of December, 2026.
